14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15 He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

Galilee was a small town where everyone knew everyone; this is how Jesus grew up. At this point, Jesus had begun his ministry as a young man and everyone had taken note, knowing who he was. His stories of being tempted by the devil and his teaching began to spread throughout the town. Therefore, when word came that he would teach at the synagogue, everyone came. Have you ever been around someone that their personality just brings people to them? It is like a light that bugs are attracted to, a feeling of being in awe. This is the feeling we should feel when it comes to Jesus. We have heard about him growing up, but as we mature, the stories lose their zeal. We must remember what it was to be attracted to that initial light, to be in awe of who he was.
