25 And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

26 “But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. 27 Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest.

The response of Jesus to the last disciple is eye-opening, He calls him lazy. He uses this term because he failed to use his resources. This is also an illustration of how we will be judged by Jesus for what we did with what He entrusted us with, this is a big deal. We do not usually look at things from this perspective, but we must look at things with eternity in mind. If we have this mindset, things will be much different, and we will use our gifts in a much different manner. If we call ourselves Jesus followers we must challenge ourselves, get out of our comfort zone and share the good news of Christ.
