28 Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’

29 “For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. 30 Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus is serious when He judges, and if we choose not to do anything with our gifts there will be serious consequences. We mustn’t be so distracted with society, comparisons, or anything other than understanding how we can use our gifts and talents to the fullest potential. Ask the people around you what your gift set is, so you can have a better understanding of what God has given you and how people perceive it. One of the best quotes I heard about using your gifts is, “being a Christian is to make yourself constantly uncomfortable for the glory of God.”
