4 The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.   5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. 6 “He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.

The stone was not rolled away to let Jesus out, but to let the people in to see that the tomb was empty. The grave clothes were there as proof that He had passed through them, because the bonds of death could not hold Him. The change in the lives of early believers is further proof that Christ arose. Over 500 saw Him at one time and the church is alive and well. What more do we need?
