13 Oct 18 Days of Prayer: Day 12

Matthew 8:2-3 – A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’ Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ He said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cleansed of His leprosy.

Main Point: God offers to cleanse us fully, spiritually, just as He did physically with the man with leprosy. The more you see God, the clearer you see yourself. When you think of all of the amazing work He has done, you can’t help but think of how small and truly sinful you are. Even further, it’s difficult to grasp such a grace that would accept you despite your flaws and darkness. Kneel before God and ask Him to cleanse to spiritually.

Prayer Point: “Lord, I am unholy, and I know that my sin causes distance between you and me. Thank you that the blood You shed on the cross covers my sin and shame. Forgive me and strengthen me to live by Your spirit. Amen.”
