18 Oct 18 Days of Prayer: Day 16

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 – “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Main Point: This passage speaks of how Christ loves His people. It’s not about how He feels, but all about who He is. True love is demonstrated by action. How has God’s love impacted the way that you act? If you put your name in place of the word “Love” in this passage of scripture, how well would you say you’re doing at carrying out the love of God?

Prayer Point: Father, in my relationships, help me to work on being patient and kind. Give me your heart for others, and for those who I have a difficult time loving. Help me to sacrifice my feelings, and love by actions. Amen.”
