05 Feb 2 Peter 1:10-11; Hebrews 13:20-21
10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; 11 for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, 21 equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Too many Church members think they have it all figured out and they think they know exactly how everybody should believe (which is just like them) and the church limps on. It is time to repent…to put to death the misdeeds of the flesh and go up into the presence of God. If you don’t stop being selfish, you will never know true intimacy with God and the power of His presence. Your life will be burdened by sin and fear and worry and discouragement. You will never influence others for Christ and be the instrument that God uses to bring someone into His Kingdom. Some of us need to come, and rest in the arms of Jesus, casting all our anxiety on Him and start fresh in our walk with Him. Start with understanding this…God loves you in spite of yourself. He loves because of who He is, not because we are in any way worthy of His love. You may want to ask Him at this point; “How can You be so wonderful?”
