31 Jan 2 Peter 1:20-21

20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

The Word of God was God-breathed through the likes of men. This means the Words are from God, but He sent them through men. He used people who were outcast, non-educated, and marginalized to fulfil His purpose in writing the Bible. In these verses, we see how none of the words we read come directly from men, but from God as they were carried out by the Holy Spirit. We must read the Bible for ourselves, rather than letting another dictate how we should feel about it.
