11 Apr All about the Family Mission Trip

Last month, a group of Legacy families traveled together to serve in Eagle Pass, Texas. We asked student Alex Teeple to tell us about the trip.

The family mission trip to Eagle Pass, Texas, was an extremely productive trip that also provided many opportunities to form and build relationships with not only those from Legacy, but also with those from the church in Eagle Pass, Iglesia de Cristo Paisano Heights. When we were working, members of Paisano Heights would come and work alongside of us. It was so amazing to see both churches working together for the glory of God and for the “Big C” Church. While working alongside them, we got to hear many testimonies and stories of how God is using the people in Eagle Pass to further His kingdom and to bring glory to Him.

Together, our two churches worked hard to put on a VBS, clear a lot for a future church camp, put up lots and lots of fencing, and remodel a playground for the kids at the church. One of the highlights of the trip was when we finished clearing the church camp lot and put up a volleyball net. Both churches had a time of fellowship, eating, praying, and playing volleyball together. It was very gratifying to see the fruits of our efforts in action as we fellowshipped together for an afternoon.

In conclusion, we are praising God for a beautiful, successful trip with such great people involved. Please continue to pray for the people in Eagle Pass, specifically for the growth and outreach of their church.
