05 Feb Esther 6:11-12b
12b So Haman took the robes and the horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him, “Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.” Then Mordecai returned to the king’s gate.
The Bible tells us pride goes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18) and Haman just learned it. The king couldn’t sleep and read about Mordecai reporting an earlier plot to kill the king. When asked how Haman would honor a hero, it turned out Haman was honoring Mordecai! Do you think Mordecai expected to be honored by Haman? Do you think Haman ever expected that? Are you trusting in God even when you don’t see the answers?
