29 May Genesis 2:7,15-17

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

All creatures live because of God, but mankind longs for fulfillment and satisfaction, which comes only from, “the breath of Life.” Closeness with God sets mankind apart from all other things. We are moral beings, yet there are limits to our knowledge, so God set the standards of right and wrong. What happens when we refuse to seek closeness with God? Do you believe in absolute truth? Why?
