11 Jan Genesis 3:4-5

4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

What would you say to the serpent? He really twisted Eve up, didn’t he? He questioned God’s word directly – “You will not surely die!” Then he went on to stretch God’s word –“You will be like God.” Being like God sounded pretty good to Eve. However, it was a lie. It wasn’t true at all. Has anyone ever talked you into doing something you knew was wrong? How can you make sure you don’t do something that God tells us is wrong? Remember that disobeying God is sin and sin separates us from God.
