26 Sep Isaiah 53:3-4
3 He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
The sickness we’ve all inherited is sin, and many times that plays out into cancer, and other unexpected illnesses. We must realize the crux of any sickness is a result of the sin we are born with. This plays out in a variety of ways such as: injury, pain, hurt, sickness, and much more. Here in these verses Isaiah describes how Jesus took our sickness and bore our pain in order that we would not have to experience the things we do currently, forever. If you have not fully surrendered to Jesus because of a sickness in your life or a loved one, know that He took the greatest disease so that you could experience heaven.
