07 Sep John 10: 7-10
7 So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Jesus is the doorway or the entrance for the sheep to enter the presence and the protection of the Shepherd. Simply stated, Jesus is the way in and through which anyone can enter into a marvelous new life with God. This life is abundant and eternal. The warning is that it is possible for us to be pillaged and plundered by worldly philosophies and materialism. We also hinder our relationship with God by putting other things before Him. If we will allow Him to control both our inner life and exterior life, He will lead me wider fields of adventure and new dimensions of spiritual growth.
