25 Aug John 13:14-15

14 “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”

So…how many of you would volunteer to wash someone’s feet after a long, hard day walking around at work? How about after they went and played in a soccer game? I bet none of you would volunteer for that! Yet, Jesus told us to do exactly that for one another. Do you think he asked us to do it JUST to keep our feet clean? No way! He was referring to our service to one another and those around us. There is nothing too dirty, too hard, too difficult that Jesus hasn’t already done and that we should not do. As you get ready for a new school year, does that change how you think about taking care of those around you? How should you serve your friends and teachers?
