09 Aug Luke 20:46a, 47b

46 “Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places….these will receive greater condemnation.”

As we start this week, Jesus once again warned the people about the Pharisees and scribes. What was so wrong with them? They did good things, right? They may have done good deeds, but it wasn’t anything close to what Jesus desired. Instead of faith, they had rules, instead of grace, they had punishment. They liked to “look” good, but were dirty on the inside. Discuss with your family what faith is. Is it about looking good or something more?
