08 Feb Luke 6:46-47; John 14:12a
46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like:
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
We often give lip service to the power of God; we say we believe it, as we read Scripture and nod our heads and say, “Amen”. If, however, we do the work of God with our own effort and try to fix our troubles in our own strength, then we will be exhausted and defeated. Holy Spirit power is ours for the asking if we will just put it into operation. I choose to stand on the word of God, as a child, without fear of what people will say about me or do to me. Who will join me? My old preacher, Wayne Smith used to say it this way; “It’s time to get on or get off, to fish or cut bait, to stand up or sit down, to put up or shut up, to get in or get out”. Are you in?
