22 Feb Matthew 11:28; 1 John 2:5-6

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

1 John 2:5-6
but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

We are saved by grace and we are transformed into Christ-likeness by grace. When we are confronted with the impurities of our hearts, it is the Holy Spirit revealing our sinfulness so that we understand our personal need for grace. You are becoming holy if you see your need to fall on your face before God for deliverance. Those who see their sin, excuse it and remain the same, become hypocrites. Unfortunately, there are few who walk humbly toward true holiness, so there are few who actually live in the presence of God. To start living in the presence of God, you start by forsaking pride. Don’t hide the condition of your heart or you become a Christian Pharisee. We show contempt when we judge and criticize and become the opposite of holy. We need to become humble. Fall on God’s grace and delight in becoming meek. Now you can become a true disciple of Jesus and become like Him…humble by choice.
