13 Feb Matthew 24:35; 2 Peter 1:19-21

35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

2 Peter 1:19-21

19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

The Bible testifies to its own inspiration. “The Lord said”, is used over 2500 in the pages of the Bible. We must investigate the testimony within the Bible itself to prove its validity. If you wanted to know for sure if it was water in your water bottle, you wouldn’t get a glass of gasoline at the corner QT to prove it. The Bible is a speaking Word; we are not add to it nor take away from it. Listen to these testimonies about the Bible. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”. Peter said, “We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it… Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit”. The Bible IS the Word of God. We need to take it all, or not at all. If you accept a man’s word for what is inspired and what isn’t, you trust in man and not God. God said what He meant and meant what He said. The Bible is inspired in its entirety.
