23 Jan Psalm 119:97-100; Job 32:8-9
97 O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine.
99 I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged, Because I have observed Your precepts.
8 “But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
9 “The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.
There are reasons for you to believe God’s word and even love it. First, the word makes us wiser than our enemies. We have more insight than the wise of this world and more understanding than the aged. We can look at life and its difficulties from God’s point of view. Circumstances become opportunities and bitterness and irritation are replaced with gratitude and enthusiasm. Now, I am being trained and developed as God’s vessel and can see through the difficulties of life to the real causes for certain situations, so that I add insight to my knowledge. As I continue to live in God’s word, I am able to respond positively and correctly to life’s situations and when things don’t turn out my way, I am not discouraged, but I stay positive and my attitude is godly. I know that God is working in us through a lot of our difficulties to develop a mature, stable person, because He has your good at heart. I encourage you to learn the word. You will grow in grace toward others and in submission to Him. You look at each situation from God’s viewpoint. It is amazing to realize that God’s word is for me.
